We put the TENS unit in the mail today. Please let me know when you get it.
It was AMAZING. I had a very speedy unmediated birth (with a bit of nitrous). Was at 8cm by the time I got to the hospital at 6am, after laboring at home since 11pm with the TENS. Baby boy joined us at 744am last Friday the 14th.
Here is me with the TENS at home at 330am, 4 hours before he was born. I was still in good spirits at that point and I’m sure it was because the TENS was so effective.
And another shot after he was born. (below) You can see the TENS still around me neck. It was on the entire time!
There is NO WAY I could have done that without the TENS (and nitrous for the last half hour, because that’s as soon as they could get it all set up).
Thank you!!

Happy SMILING Mama using her TENS JUST 4 HOURS prior to giving birth! Way to go Kalani, you and the TENS rocked your birth!
We rented the TENS for our labor & delivery. Jillian was great to get it to us well in advance and having the pre-addressed and paid box to return was so convenient for after delivery! The TENS was great during early labor - I definitely recommend.
We introduced our baby boy, Adrian Theodore Serrano, to the world on Friday evening. It was a rather quick labor and delivery. I only used the TENS unit and let me tell you, it was amazing!!! It got me through most of the contractions and even used it during pushing. I tried using the nitrous oxide but only used it with one contraction and didn’t like it. I will be shipping out the unit hopefully sometime this week but definitely will be spreading the word about your class and the unit! Thanks again!!
A midwife at Austin Area Birthing Center recommended the Elle TENS Machine as a tool for natural labor. We planned an unmedicated birth for our first son and were eager to have as many tools or distractions on-hand as possible. We made it to 42 weeks before our boy decided to finally make his debut at 8llbs 5oz. The Elle TENS Machine was one of the best parts of my labor. The boost or contraction button gave me a sense of control and rhythm during labor. My husband, and coach, would look for me to push the boost button to know when a contraction was coming. Although the contractions were still very strong and overwhelming at times, I felt like the Elle TENS Machine did a great job managing my back labor so I could just focus on the pain in the front and lower pressure. I cranked up the intensity of the unit as labor progressed, and by the end my husband accidentally touched one of the pads and couldn't believe how strong I had made the pulses! It made for a good laugh (after labor of course). We interchanged using the Elle TENS machine and the shower and bath, and had an incredibly powerful and beautiful natural birth the way we had hoped. I would definitely recommend this to any moms-to-be and will plan on renting again if we decide to have a second baby in the future.
A friend told me about using an Elle Tens Unit for labor before I was ever pregnant. It sounded like a great idea and a good way to mitigate the intensity of contractions during labor. We were blessed with a pregnancy a year later, and I remembered that I wanted to try the Elle's. Jillian was extremely easy to talk to when I received the unit and was more than helpful in explaining how to correctly use it and how to use it to maximize the benefits.
The Tens Unit helped me through a long an intense 22 hours of labor. The constant pulsing was almost meditative in a way and assisted me in shifting my focus away from the intensity of the surges. The boost function made more intense labor surges more manageable and again helped me focus on my breath and being present until the surge subsided.
We ran into some complications that ended up making an emergency c-section the safest way to deliver our baby girl. However, the tens unit was a gift that I would encourage any woman laboring naturally to give herself.
